Everyone wants something different in their portrait. The popularity of photojournalistic style wedding coverage, and a more relaxed approach to senior and family photography have greatly increased the demand for a more customized and personal approach to photography and portraiture. I enjoy taking that relaxed, personal approach to my photography because it relaxes everyone involved. Everyone is free to be themselves and have a good time, and that shows in the portraits.
One of the ways I can achieve the goal of relaxed, personal portraits is to photograph my subjects in an environment of their choosing ~ in their home, in their backyard, at their favorite park, even in their garage. This works especially well with families with small children because if something gets spilled on their clothing, or some other disaster happens, they are at home and it is so simple to fix whatever needs fixed. This also makes clothing changes much simpler~you simply go to your closet and make the change!
Also, I have a traveling studio complete with lights and backdrops so we can make your portrait happen anywhere. This way you can have studio style portraits made right in the comfort of your own home, or other convenient space. And, since I use a digital camera, we can all rest easy knowing that we have all of the images that we want.
